Sports Medicine Coloring Book — Student Edition
Built for a class period, not a semester. The Student Edition keeps the artwork and the sport-first framing of the full book but trims each plate to the structures a middle or high schooler actually needs, swaps clinical phrasing for plain English, and paces the parts so a teacher can assign one spread at a time.
- Fewer structures per plate, so a page fits one class period
- Plain-language notes in place of clinical phrasing
- Same sport-first framing as the full edition
- Written by a practicing athletic trainer and classroom teacher
- Format
- Paperback, 8.5 × 11 in
- Written for
- Middle school and high school students, intro sports medicine and exercise science classes, and first-year HOSA members.
What is different
Same anatomy. Less to carry at once.
The Student Edition is not a shorter book so much as a slower one — it takes the full edition's plates and gives a younger reader room to actually finish them.
Fewer structures per plate
The full edition puts eighteen leader lines on an anterior skeleton. The Student Edition trims that to the bones a middle schooler can name and find on themselves.
Plain language over clinical phrasing
"The foot rolls inward and stretches the ligaments on the outside of the ankle" instead of "forced inversion mechanism stressing the lateral ligamentous complex." Same idea, no decoding.
Paced for a class period
One spread is one lesson. A teacher can hand out a page on Monday and have it finished, labeled, and checked before the bell.
The same sport-first framing
Every structure still arrives attached to something that happens in a game — because that is what makes a fourteen-year-old care about the anterior talofibular ligament.

The artwork it is built on.
These plates come from the full edition. The Student Edition uses the same drawings with a lighter label load.
